- Your file never leaves your device
- Up to 50 MB per file

How to convert GIF to PDF
Add your GIF images
Drag the images onto the upload area or browse for them. Each image becomes one page, and you can add up to 50 of them.
Choose the page size and order
Pick A4, Letter or the image size, set the orientation and margin, and arrange the pages with the arrow buttons.
Create the PDF and download it
Press “Create PDF”. The PDF is built in your browser and never leaves your device; download it with one click.
What is preserved?
Kept
- The image quality: the picture is stored in the PDF without loss
- The correct photo orientation (EXIF orientation is applied)
- The picture's proportions
Changed
- Each image becomes one page. On A4 and Letter it is scaled to fit the page without stretching and centered; in the image-size option the page matches the picture
- When the picture's shape differs from the page, empty space remains around it
Not carried over
- EXIF, location and camera data are not added to the PDF
- Transparency: transparent areas show the white page
- Motion: only the first frame of an animated file becomes a page
- Selectable text: text inside a picture stays a picture, there is no text recognition
When to use it
Print a collection of GIF diagrams
Old manuals, charts and scanned forms are sometimes stored as GIF. A PDF puts them on proper pages that print cleanly in one job.
Archive web graphics in a single file
Instead of keeping dozens of loose GIF files, collect them in one PDF that is easy to search for by name, send and back up.
Limitations to know
- Up to 50 images in one PDF and up to 50 MB per image.
- Very large pictures depend on your device memory and may fail to be added; reduce their size first with the resize tool.
- In the image-size option a page can be at most 200 inches (14,400 points) on a side; larger pictures are scaled down.
About the formats
What is GIF?
GIF is an image format from 1987 limited to 256 colors per image. It supports simple on/off transparency and short animations, which is why it is still used for small graphics and looping clips. For photographs it is a poor choice, because the color limit causes visible banding.
What is PDF?
PDF is a document format that looks the same on every device and in print. A page can contain text, vector graphics and images, and a file can have many pages. Converting PDF pages to images turns each page into a flat picture you can place on a website or in a design, while converting images to PDF packs pictures into pages of one document.
Frequently asked questions
Does each frame of an animated GIF become a page?
No. One GIF file always gives one page, showing its first frame. To get several frames as pages you would need to export them as separate images first.
Will GIF graphics be sharp in the PDF?
Yes. The frame is stored without loss, so lines and text in a GIF diagram look just as they did on screen. Small GIFs placed on a large page can look pixelated when zoomed, so consider Image size.
Can I change the order of the pages?
Yes. Use the up and down arrows next to each file; the list order is the page order in the finished PDF.
Is converting GIF to PDF free?
Yes, completely free. There is no account, subscription or watermark; just add your files and convert them.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is created in your browser and your images never leave your device, so the waiting time depends on the number and size of the images and on your device. Location and camera data are not added to the PDF.
