Convert HTML to UDF (UYAP Document Format)

To convert an HTML file to UDF, upload your .html or .htm file, choose UDF and convert. UDF is the UYAP Document Format, Turkey's judicial document format, edited with the UYAP Document Editor. The converter first turns the HTML into a Word document and then into a UDF package; headings, lists, tables and data: URI images are carried over, and unstyled text uses Times New Roman 12 pt.

When to use it

Petitions built with web-based templates

Law firms in Turkey that draft petitions, notices or contracts in a web-based template tool or CMS can convert the HTML output to UDF and finish the document in the UYAP Document Editor.

Client text received by email

Text a client sends by email can be saved as .html and converted to UDF together with its tables, giving you a ready draft for UYAP instead of retyping the content by hand.

Limitations to know

  • No URL input; upload a saved .html or .htm file.
  • Open and check the file in the UYAP Document Editor before submitting it through UYAP.
  • The file carries no electronic signature; sign it in UYAP for official filings.

About the formats

What is HTML?

HTML (HyperText Markup Language) is the markup language web pages are written in. Headings, paragraphs, lists, tables, links and images are defined with tags, and CSS controls how they look. An .html file opens in any web browser without extra software and reflows to the screen width instead of using fixed pages. External stylesheets, web fonts and remote images are separate resources and do not travel with the file unless they are embedded in it.

What is UDF?

UDF is the document format of UYAP (Ulusal Yargı Ağı Bilişim Sistemi), Turkey's national judiciary information system. Lawyers, courts and enforcement offices create petitions, minutes and rulings in this format with the UYAP Document Editor. A .udf file is a ZIP package whose content.xml holds the full text, paragraph and character styles, tables and embedded images. It is unrelated to Universal Disk Format, and Word or PDF readers cannot open it directly.

Frequently asked questions

Does the UDF format support images and tables?

Yes. UDF is not a plain-text format: the content.xml file inside the package can store paragraph styles, tables and images. This converter carries HTML tables and images embedded as data: URIs into the UDF file. Images that are loaded from web addresses are not downloaded and therefore do not appear.

Why is the HTML converted to Word before UDF?

HTML and UDF use very different document models. The converter first uses LibreOffice to turn the HTML into a Word (DOCX) document that keeps headings, lists and tables, then writes that document into a UDF package. This intermediate step is automatic; you only download the final .udf file.

Can I submit the converted UDF through UYAP right away?

The file is produced in the UDF package structure, but we recommend opening it in the UYAP Document Editor and checking the content, tables and layout before submitting. The converter does not add an electronic signature; for official filings, open the document in UYAP and sign it with your e-signature.

Is converting HTML to UDF free?

Yes, completely free. There is no account, subscription or watermark — just upload your file and convert it.

Is my file safe and when is it deleted?

Your file is transferred over HTTPS and stored on our server under a random code. The upload and the output are permanently deleted within 30 minutes, and the download link only works for whoever holds your unique code.
