How to convert HEIC to PDF
Add your HEIC files
Drag the files onto the upload area or browse for them. Each file becomes one page, and you can add up to 50 of them.
Choose the page size and order
Pick A4, Letter or the image size, set the orientation and margin, and arrange the pages with the arrow buttons.
Create the PDF and download it
Press “Create PDF”. Each HEIC file is uploaded to our servers to be read and deleted within 30 minutes at the latest; the pages are then put together into one PDF that you download with one click.
What is preserved?
Kept
- The picture: each HEIC file is read on our servers and placed in the PDF at its full resolution
- The correct photo orientation (EXIF orientation is applied)
- The picture's proportions
Changed
- Each image becomes one page. On A4 and Letter it is scaled to fit the page without stretching and centered; in the image-size option the page matches the picture
- When the picture's shape differs from the page, empty space remains around it
Not carried over
- EXIF, location and camera data are not added to the PDF
- Transparency: transparent areas show the white page
- Selectable text: text inside a picture stays a picture, there is no text recognition
When to use it
Send document photos as one PDF
Receipts, IDs and signed forms photographed with an iPhone are saved as HEIC. Combining them into one PDF gives you a file that any office, bank or school can open.
Make a printable photo collection
Put holiday or event photos on A4 or Letter pages in the order you choose and print them in one go, without converting each photo separately.
Limitations to know
- Each HEIC file is uploaded to our servers to be read and deleted within 30 minutes at the latest.
- Up to 50 images in one PDF and up to 50 MB per image.
- Very large pictures depend on your device memory and may fail to be added; reduce their size first with the resize tool.
- In the image-size option a page can be at most 200 inches (14,400 points) on a side; larger pictures are scaled down.
About the formats
What is HEIC?
HEIC (also called HEIF) is the photo format that iPhones and many recent cameras use by default. It stores photos in about half the space of a JPG at similar quality and supports transparency and several images in one file. Web browsers and many programs cannot open it, which is why HEIC photos are usually converted to JPG, PNG or WebP before they are shared.
What is PDF?
PDF is a document format that looks the same on every device and in print. A page can contain text, vector graphics and images, and a file can have many pages. Converting PDF pages to images turns each page into a flat picture you can place on a website or in a design, while converting images to PDF packs pictures into pages of one document.
Frequently asked questions
Can I turn many iPhone photos into a single PDF?
Yes. Add all the HEIC files at once; each one becomes a page, and the arrows let you change the order before the PDF is created.
Is the photo quality reduced in the PDF?
No noticeable loss: each photo is read at full resolution and placed on its page. The PDF can be large when you add many high-resolution photos.
Will sideways photos be turned upright?
Yes. The orientation recorded by the iPhone is applied when the photo is read, so pages appear the right way up.
Is converting HEIC to PDF free?
Yes, completely free. There is no account, subscription or watermark; just add your files and convert them.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
Yes. This conversion runs on our servers, so your file is uploaded over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, converted there and permanently deleted within 30 minutes at the latest. It is stored under a random code instead of its name, and processing is fully automated. EXIF and location data are not added to the output.
