SVG to PNG Converter
To convert SVG to PNG, add your SVG files and press Convert with PNG selected. The vector drawing is rendered into a transparent PNG; leave the width empty for automatic sizing or enter the pixel width you need. Small vectors are enlarged so the longest side is 1024 pixels. The rendering happens in your browser, so your SVG is never uploaded.
- Free, no sign-up
- Your file never leaves your device
- Up to 50 MB per file
PNG is a lossless format, so there is no quality setting. File size depends on the resolution and the picture itself.
Your file never leaves your device; images are processed in your browser. EXIF and location data are not added to the output.
How to convert SVG to PNG
Add your SVG files
Drag the images onto the upload area or browse for them; you can add several files at once.
Keep PNG as the output
PNG is already selected. For formats with a quality setting the slider starts at 100%; lower it if you want a smaller file.
Convert and download
Press “Convert”. Every file is processed in your browser, and you can download the results one by one or as a ZIP.
What is preserved?
Kept
- The image resolution (pixel dimensions)
- The correct photo orientation (EXIF orientation is applied)
- Colors (adapted to sRGB)
- Transparency (alpha channel)
Changed
- The vector drawing becomes pixels; the output is fixed at the chosen size
Not carried over
- EXIF, location and camera data: left out of the output for privacy
- Infinite scalability: the raster output turns pixelated when enlarged
When to use it
Use a logo where SVG is not accepted
Social networks, e-mail signatures and many upload forms do not accept SVG. A PNG at the right width solves that.
Create app and slide graphics
Presentation tools and mobile app builds often need raster images at specific sizes. Render the SVG once at the width you need.
Limitations to know
- External images and fonts referenced by the SVG are not loaded; text may be drawn with a system font.
- Up to 50 MB per file; the output can be at most 16,384 pixels on one side.
- On iPhone and iPad, images above roughly 16 megapixels may not be processed because of a browser limit.
About the formats
What is SVG?
SVG describes an image with shapes, paths and text in XML instead of pixels, so it stays sharp at any size. It is ideal for logos, icons and illustrations. When a program or website needs a pixel image, an SVG is rendered into a raster format such as PNG at a chosen size.
What is PNG?
PNG stores pixels without loss and supports full transparency, which makes it a good fit for screenshots, logos and graphics with sharp edges or text. The price is size: photographs saved as PNG are usually much larger than the same picture as JPG or WebP. PNG does not store animations.
Frequently asked questions
How do I choose the size of the PNG?
Type the width in pixels in the SVG output width field; the height follows the drawing's aspect ratio. Left empty, the SVG's own size is used, and small drawings are scaled so the longest side is 1024 pixels. The maximum is 4096 pixels on the longest side.
Is the background transparent?
Yes. Areas the SVG leaves empty stay transparent in the PNG.
Why does the text in my SVG look different?
The SVG is drawn in isolation: fonts and images it loads from other websites are not fetched, so text may fall back to a system font. Convert text to outlines in your design tool, or embed the font, for exact results.
Can I get the SVG back from the PNG?
Not with this tool. A PNG is made of pixels and cannot be turned back into the original vector.
Is converting SVG to PNG free?
Yes, completely free. There is no account, subscription or watermark; just add your files and convert them.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Images are processed in your browser and never leave your device, so the waiting time depends on the file size and your device. EXIF and location data are not added to the output.
