SVG to HEIC Converter
To convert SVG to HEIC, add your SVG files, keep HEIC as the output and press Convert. The vector drawing is first drawn into pixels at the size set in the SVG, keeping transparency, and then encoded as HEIC. The image is uploaded to our servers over a secure connection, converted there and deleted within 5 minutes after you download the result.
- Free, no sign-up
- Uploaded securely, deleted within 5 minutes of download
- Up to 200 MB per file
Your file is uploaded to our servers over a secure (HTTPS) connection, converted there and permanently deleted within 5 minutes after you download the result. Files are converted one after another.
How to convert SVG to HEIC
Add your SVG files
Drag the files onto the upload area or browse for them; you can add several files and they are converted one after another.
Keep HEIC as the output
HEIC is already selected. The quality slider starts at a default that suits the format (JPG 90%, WebP 80%, AVIF 60%, HEIC 80%); lower it if you want an even smaller file.
Convert and download
Press “Convert”. Each file is uploaded to our servers, converted and deleted within 5 minutes after you download the result; download the results one by one or as a ZIP.
What is preserved?
Kept
- The image resolution (pixel dimensions)
- The correct photo orientation (EXIF orientation is applied)
- Colors (adapted to sRGB)
- Transparency (alpha channel)
Changed
- HEIC is a lossy format: lower quality means a smaller file but less fine detail
- The lossless source is recompressed at the quality you choose, so pixel values are no longer identical
- The vector drawing becomes pixels; the output is fixed at the chosen size
Not carried over
- EXIF, location and camera data: left out of the output for privacy
- Infinite scalability: the raster output turns pixelated when enlarged
When to use it
Logos and icons for Apple apps
Photos and some Apple apps do not import SVG. A HEIC copy of a logo or illustration can be added to a library, a note or a presentation.
Share a vector design as a picture
Someone without design software can open the HEIC on an iPhone or Mac without needing to read the SVG code.
Limitations to know
- External images and fonts referenced by the SVG are not loaded; text may be drawn with a system font.
- Up to 200 MB and about 100 megapixels per file.
- The file is uploaded to our servers and deleted within 5 minutes after you download the result; several files are converted one after another.
About the formats
What is SVG?
SVG describes an image with shapes, paths and text in XML instead of pixels, so it stays sharp at any size. It is ideal for logos, icons and illustrations. When a program or website needs a pixel image, an SVG is rendered into a raster format such as PNG at a chosen size.
What is HEIC?
HEIC (also called HEIF) is the photo format that iPhones and many recent cameras use by default. It stores photos in about half the space of a JPG at similar quality and supports transparency and several images in one file. Web browsers and many programs cannot open it, which is why HEIC photos are usually converted to JPG, PNG or WebP before they are shared.
Frequently asked questions
What size will the HEIC image be?
The SVG is drawn at the width and height defined in the file. If you need a different size, set it in the SVG or resize the HEIC afterwards.
Does the HEIC stay sharp when I zoom in?
No. Unlike the SVG, the HEIC is made of pixels, so it gets blurry when enlarged beyond its size.
Why is text or an image missing in the result?
Fonts and images that the SVG loads from other files or websites are not fetched. Text may then use a system font; convert text to outlines in your design program first.
Is converting SVG to HEIC free?
Yes, completely free. There is no account, subscription or watermark; just add your files and convert them.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
Yes. This conversion runs on our servers, so your file is uploaded over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, converted there and deleted as soon as the conversion finishes; the result is permanently deleted within 5 minutes after you download it, or 10 minutes after the conversion finishes if you never download it. Files are saved under a random code instead of their name, and processing is fully automated. EXIF and location data are not added to the output.
