SVG to TIFF Converter
To convert SVG to TIFF, add your SVG files, optionally enter an output width in pixels, choose TIFF and press Convert. The drawing is rendered to pixels at that size and saved as a single-page RGB TIFF with lossless compression; transparency is kept. Images and fonts the SVG loads from elsewhere are not included. The conversion runs in your browser, so your files never leave your device.
- Free, no sign-up
- Your file never leaves your device
- Up to 200 MB per file
The selected format has no quality setting.
Your file never leaves your device; images are processed in your browser. EXIF and location data are not added to the output.
How to convert SVG to TIFF
Add your SVG files
Drag the images onto the upload area or browse for them; you can add several files at once.
Keep TIFF as the output
TIFF is already selected. For formats with a quality setting the slider starts at a default that suits the format (JPG 90%, WebP 80%, AVIF 60%); lower it if you want a smaller file.
Convert and download
Press “Convert”. Every file is processed in your browser, and you can download the results one by one or as a ZIP.
What is preserved?
Kept
- The image resolution (pixel dimensions)
- The correct photo orientation (EXIF orientation is applied)
- Colors (adapted to sRGB)
- Transparency (alpha channel)
Changed
- The vector drawing becomes pixels; the output is fixed at the chosen size
Not carried over
- EXIF, location and camera data: left out of the output for privacy
- Infinite scalability: the raster output turns pixelated when enlarged
When to use it
Logos for print and prepress
When a printer asks for a TIFF logo, rendering the SVG at a large width gives a sharp raster version for the print job.
Programs that do not read SVG
Many document systems and older editors cannot open SVG. A TIFF rendering of the drawing works in them.
Limitations to know
- External images and fonts referenced by the SVG are not loaded; text may be drawn with a system font.
- Up to 200 MB per file; the output can be at most 16,384 pixels on one side.
- On iPhone and iPad, images above roughly 16 megapixels may not be processed because of a browser limit.
About the formats
What is SVG?
SVG describes an image with shapes, paths and text in XML instead of pixels, so it stays sharp at any size. It is ideal for logos, icons and illustrations. When a program or website needs a pixel image, an SVG is rendered into a raster format such as PNG at a chosen size.
What is TIFF?
TIFF is a high-quality image format used for scans, professional photography and printing. It typically stores pixels without lossy compression and can hold high color depth and several pages in one file, so files are very large. Web browsers do not display TIFF, so it is converted to JPG or PNG for sharing and publishing.
Frequently asked questions
Which width should I enter for printing?
Multiply the printed width in inches by 300. For a logo printed 4 inches wide, about 1200 pixels gives a crisp result.
Does the TIFF stay a vector?
No. The TIFF is made of pixels at the size you chose, so enlarging it later makes edges blurry. Keep the SVG for any resizing.
Why is a font or image missing from the TIFF?
Fonts and images that the SVG pulls in from other files or websites are not loaded. Convert the text to outlines and embed the images in the SVG before converting.
Is converting SVG to TIFF free?
Yes, completely free. There is no account, subscription or watermark; just add your files and convert them.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Images are processed in your browser and never leave your device, so the waiting time depends on the file size and your device. EXIF and location data are not added to the output.
